So, how do you stop from becoming a statistic. First you need to know that 90% of new businesses fail the first year. If this is true, and it is, then you do not want to align yourself with a business that is that young. Secondly, 90% of the rest of the businesses fail in the next 4 years. This is a tough truth to accept and I don’t expect you to take my word for it, even though I’m not lying to you. All you have to do is a Google search and you can find out all you need to know about a certain company before you sign on the dotted line with them.

One thing for sure is that you definitely want to read a company’s Policy and Procedures and their Compensation Plan before you make up your mind. Would you accept a position with an employer without knowing what your responsibilities are or how much they were going to pay you? Of course not! This is the same thing but most people don’t look at it that way.

If you have already ventured into the mlm/network marketing arena and have not found success, it’s still not your fault. If I were to guess, you probably were told that you would be trained or you would be guaranteed a certain amount of income if you just did so and so. Right? Well you, like so many before and after you, had to learn the hard way. Don’t we all.

You need to ask yourself “WHY” am I doing what I’m doing. You need a strong enough reason as to why you are doing what you are doing. If WHAT you are doing doesn’t work then you will figure out another way to get it done. There is no room to be wishy-washy or lukewarm in this business. If you are, you’re a goner!

Power of the Master Mind is very intriguing to me. I have never been one who thought that a lot could be accomplished by oneself. Team effort is what I rely on when it comes to getting any task at hand completed.

This is why I am so impressed with the Mentoring for Free family. Here we have a group effort; one that is not willing to let others fall by the wayside. I admire this kind of philosophy, especially when it is not just talked about, but implemented. Of course it takes dedicated leadership to make sure this ship runs smoothly. I witness this day in and day out as I listen to the conference calls and hear how so many are willing to use their God given talents to get the job done. Could this be accomplished by one individual? Absolutely Not! It takes TEAMWORK!

I am in the process of reading a book by J.J. Turner called “Building An Effective Leadership Team.” He says, “The nice thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side.” That’s important! He also stresses that teamwork makes the difference in all areas of life. I definitely know this to be true in my spiritual side and I suppose I have always known it to be true about my social and business sides as well.

The business side of life is where I have been lacking the influence of the Master Mind. Since I have come in contact with MFF and have begun my process of the Mental Cleanse I can clearly see how the chatter has to be removed so there can be focus on the tasks at hand. This has also aided me in my spiritual walk and I regularly share it with members of our church.

Two minds are always better than one in my book as long as there is harmony. Harmony brings out the best in most people, whereas disharmony brings out the worst. Harmony is what I am experiencing with MFF and it is a wonderful feeling. I am so happy to know that there are so many around the world that still care for others and are willing to show it by being part of the Master Mind team, which thinks of others before self. I know together we will continue to make a drastic difference in any life that will invite us in to share this good news with them.

All it takes is some time and a real concern and compassion for others. A mentor IS NOT a babysitter nor are they a financial resource for the experienced or inexperienced marketer. They could become one’s best friend though and that’s worth more than all the success in the world.

A true mentor will spend time listening to the concerns of his or her student. Is this important? Absolutely! Everyone needs someone to talk to and everyone has burdens that need to be shared or maybe even dumped at times. A true mentor will become that dumping ground if need be and will be happy to be there to catch the burdens. Weight lifting is not a prerequisite but it could come in handy!

A true mentor must have focus on the needs at hand of the one that is in search of guidance. This means that the true mentor must be selfless in his or her actions and expectations in regards to the one being mentored. Do you consider yourself to be selfless or are you more selfish in your ways? Being a good mentor involves getting self out of the picture completely and concentrating on the one being that needs mentoring.

Does any of this make sense at all? I hope so!

So, why be a mentor? People in the network marketing business face many challenges. But I believe they can be helped with whatever problems and difficulties that arise in their networking lives by having a true mentor on their side. One that is not afraid of challenges, but looks at them as opportunities. One that always has positive words for any and all situations. A mentor who will be there no matter what, no matter when and no matter why. Ultimately, a true mentor can change the life of a network marketer just by being there and helping them make right decisions.

Network marketers are very similar to a box of chocolates in that they too come in assortments. There are some that need to be nurtured, some that need to be entertained, some that need to be analyzed and some that need to be left alone. If you have been around network marketing very long, you have probably run into each of these types. Have you ever wondered what category you fall under?

In order for this business to be successful, it needs each type of marketer. What we have to do is determine their type and then learn how to cater to their needs. If they need nurturing, then nurture them. If they need to be entertained, then entertain them. If they need analyzing, then analyze with them and if they need to be left alone, then so be it. You will find that if you learn their colors, you will become very successful in the network marketing business.

If you decide to ignore these facts, then you might as well hang up your networking coat and hat and head back into the world of working for someone else. You will never own your own life out there. Network marketing is the only business that will offer you the opportunity to own your own life. If you align yourself with the right people, you will be taught how to think, not what to think. You will also begin living a life that most people only dream about.

If you did quit, why did you do it? Was it simply because you didn’t make that $500 a day or $30,000 a month they promised you? Come on, get serious! Did you really think you could make that kind of money without making any kind of sacrifice besides money? Did you think you could do it without knowing anything about network marketing? It just doesn’t happen that way my friend.

Is another reason you quit due to the fact that you were promised to be trained and that wonderful company let you down? This has happened to the best of us and you need to realize right now that your past, present and maybe even some future failures are not your fault. Did you hear me? It’s not your fault! That should give you some relief, but what now. Where do you go from here?

If you plan on giving up entirely on the network marketing business, you are making a BIG mistake. What you need to do is regroup. What do I mean by regroup? Simple. Do some homework and look for a company that offers you training. This means you are going to have to find yourself a mentor. A person who is willing to spend time with you and who wants to see you succeed in your business. You will know if you have found the right person if he/she doesn’t talk to you about products or companies. They are just interested in helping you find your network marketing niche.

I know all of this sounds very fictitious, but it’s not. It is very real and very attainable if you are willing to pay the price and I’m not talking money here. I’m talking about a little blood, sweat and even tears. If you are willing to stick with a program that is duplicate-able, this will be your answer to success. It will not come to you over night. You want a system that you can learn and pass on to others just like your mentor did with you. Gives you the warm fuzzes, doesn’t it?

A big mistake many newbies make is that all they see is the $$$$$$.  They figure the more companies the merrier.  WRONG!  If you want to make a good online income, then you need to concentrate on one business at a time.  You need to realize there are no get rich schemes.  Remember what your mother told you long ago, “If it sounds too good to be true, then stay away from it.”  I wasn’t born yesterday, so I know that some of you will not take this advice and you will go ahead and get burned several times over before you wise up.  After all, we do learn best from our mistakes.  Right?

There is a web site called mlmwatchdog.  This site will save you a lot of heartaches and will prevent you from making some terrible marketing decisions which will put you working against yourself.  Check out the companies you are planning on joining up with by going to this site first.  I wish I had known about them before I lost several hundreds of dollars.

You need to concentrate on branding yourself.  Branding others will put you fighting against yourself.  One of the best ways to do this branding is to learn from someone that is already branded.  Networking is selling yourself, not a product or company.  If you try to sell anything but yourself you will be going against the flow, not with it.

This is a hard business but it can be made easy if you remove all the obstacles first.  This has been just a few of the things you might think about doing so you won’t be struggling against yourself.  Wishing you the best in your network marketing adventures.

Many have given up, on the work for someone else, job market because there is no future in it.  They have witnessed hordes of individuals lose their high paying jobs due to downsizing or the economic crisis which is upon us now.  Maybe they were even among those that lost their jobs.  We’re not just talking about your middle class blue collar workers here!  We are talking about corporate executives as well.  Presidents, CEOs and even company owners are biting the dust.  Is there no security anywhere?

All this job loss caused by downsizing has turned successful people into frustrated failures.  For some, this occurred over night and for others it was very gradual.  How would you like to be earning a comfortable $100,000 a year salary and all of the sudden be told that the paycheck stops right now?  That would be enough for some to consider taking their own lives or maybe the lives of those who brought them this devastating news.
